π Peer Support Sessions for Autistic University Students
Fridays, around 11:00 to 13:00 (Dates and time may vary β please check available slots on Calendly)
Navigating college and university life can be confusing β join London Autism Group Charity for a peer-informed, 1-to-1 session to talk about your university experience, in a safe space outside your university.
In this session, you'll speak with an autistic person who understands the higher education system. Whether you'd like to talk through specific challenges or just chat about your interests, the peer supporter is here to help you make your university life feel a little easier!
These are online or in-person sessions, and each one lasts 30 minutes. They're free and open to all autistic university students β you don't need a formal diagnosis to join.
A quick note about how we can help: This service supports autistic students with their university experience. We can help you navigate university life, talk through reasonable adjustments, access appropriate support and offer related peer guidance.
We do not provide academic or assignment support. We also cannot provide letters, evidence, verification or professional statements to support claims about illness, disability-related impact, extenuating or mitigating circumstances, extensions, missed deadlines or similar academic matters.
If you need evidence for any of these purposes, please follow your university's appropriate process and seek evidence from an appropriately qualified professional or service.
π¬ Things you may want to talk about

...and much more. These are just suggestions β you can talk about whatever matters to you.

π¬ What People Say
"I am pleased to recommend Sungji for her outstanding work as an autism mentor. I first met Sungji at a university decolonising event, where I was struck by her courage in speaking openly in the face of difficult circumstances. I later had the opportunity to work with her through a referral from my university's autism mentoring programme. What made Sungji particularly valuable as a mentor was her ability to listen thoughtfully and help me make sense of situations that I often found difficult to navigate alone. She never dismissed concerns or offered simplistic answers; instead, she provided a supportive, non-judgemental space for reflection that helped me develop greater confidence in my own judgement and perspective. Sungji's guidance was especially effective because she understood the unique culture of our university. Having studied and conducted research within the institution, she had a nuanced understanding of its environment, challenges, and ongoing cultural changes. Her advice was always grounded in an appreciation of the specific discipline and context in which I was studying. I also benefited greatly from Sungji's broader perspective as someone who has navigated different cultural environments herself. She understood what it is like to feel different, foreign, or out of place, and brought a level of empathy and insight that made me feel genuinely understood. There are no words that can express my deep gratitude for her thoughtful and gentle support. Most importantly, Sungji helped me feel less isolated. Through her openness, resilience, and willingness to share her own experiences, she showed me that many of the challenges and setbacks encountered in academic life are not faced alone. Her courage and support made a meaningful difference to my wellbeing and university experience. I would recommend Sungji without hesitation. She is thoughtful, compassionate, perceptive, and deeply committed to supporting others, and I am grateful for the positive impact she has had on my life."
